You Create the Music -- We'll Create the BUZZ                                           What is a CD One-Sheet ? Why is It SO Important? A Music Industry CD One-Sheet is a sales sheet and important tool for music distribution and radio promotion which provides information about a new release that may be helpful to record labels and music distributors in selling the album, and a must for radio stations when promoting your single for which you hope to receive airplay.  Its primary function is to attract media attention for your new album release.  It may furnish information about the band or artist and past accomplishments.  It will also provide information about the recording of the album, the style of the music, the track listing and any other unique characteristics that make it stand out. The CD one-sheet also gives the release date of the album, the catalog number, and when being used by a distributor, the list price. The name "one sheet" comes from the fact that most of these sheets are one page in length - and it is best to limit yourself to this length when you are having one designed and written.
